ELENA CARRUTHERS

Hello! 

I am a photographer in Scotland.

I have specialised in family and kids photography for over 10 years. I offer the formats of beautiful classical portraits and natural lifestyle shots. 

I consider both of these photography styles to be unbelievably important. We gaze with fascination at how close people in our lives change; looking at a great portrait photo years or generations later can bring back long forgotten emotions and can provide context and insight into our current feelings. 

 Every family and every child is unique, and my lifestyle shots reflect this by highlighting relationships, lively moments, emotions and feelings. I look for the elusive characteristics in people, and strive to convey the atmosphere, mood and history within every family. 

I am an open and positive person and I’m always very happy to meet like-minded people on set! You can be sure that your shoot will be calm and easy-going. I easily find a common language with people, even with the smallest of heroes! 

 People’s stories inspire me and I always set out to interpret them into the medium of photography. Through many years of work I established a loyal client base and some of them even became good friends!
